No I'm not dead yet :D Just busy with school, life and whatsoever (and lazy of course ^^ ). I have a new PC (after 6 years) and I'm SOOOO behind in games. I started with Mass Effect which is nice space opera FPS with RPG elements and good story. Humans, Aliens, old extinct races.. Now I'm in sequel, changes to gameplay are questionable but I have bigger ship, personal "yeomen plus ship counselor" and even british-accented ship engineer :D I guess someone at Bioware watched too much Star Trek :))
Ok, but this isn't about Mass Effect. It's about upcoming MMO, Star Wars MMO specifically. Star Wars: The Old Republic is MMORPG set in times of Knights of the Old Republic games (300 years after second game), developed by Bioware and it's Star Wars! I dont' like MMO, they have very repetitive gaming style and, if you want it to be fun, very time consuming. TOR should be different, Bioware emphasize story elements for each playable class, you will have your own ship and companions like in KOTOR etc. I found myself nice little
czech PVE Republic guild and since there would be swarms of Jedi (and Sith) and I like Han, Lando, Kyle and other "scruffy-looking nerfherders" I'm going to play Smuggler class.

There was a huge open beta testing through whole weekend at the end of November in which I tried Imperial Agent. He's the Imperial counterpart to Smuggler (they have the same game mechanics). I chose him because I didn't want to spoil the beginning of Smuggler story line and because I could choose Chiss as a race. Yes, Imperials can be a Chiss Agent (or Bounty hunter). I played for almost three days and it was fun. It's basically like KOTOR with multiplayer, much nicer (and bigger) exteriors. Quest are fully voiced with cinematics and *meaning*(!), which is definitely not usual (in MMO). Seems like Bioware is bringing back the RP to MMORPG. Can't wait to experience the full game and all its options :)
